Best Picture winner Parasite will stream exclusively on Hulu

If you still haven’t seen Parasite, this year’s Best Picture winner, you’ll have even less of an excuse for missing it beginning April 8, when the movie will be available to watch on Hulu.

Bong Joon-ho’s film, which took home the prestigious Palme d’Or following its premiere at Cannes and blazed a trail through awards season, caps off its astonishing run at the box office by hitting streaming. Song Kang-ho stars as Kim Ki-taek, patriarch of the Kim family, who are struggling to make ends meet by folding boxes for a local pizza company, and leeching off the wifi from local cafes and less cautious households. Their fortunes begin to change, however, when eldest son Ki-woo (Choi Woo-shik) gets a job tutoring English in the rich Park household.

The film’s availability on Hulu is part of a deal the streaming platform has with Neon, the studio holding Parasite’s North American rights, meaning that this exciting news only applies to North America. Whether Parasite will be available to stream internationally, and on what platform, remains to be seen.

For those us lucky enough to have access on April 8, however, it’s good news. And if you’ve already seen the movie, it’s the perfect opportunity to watch it a second time.
