PATCH NOTES:

WHAT’S NEW

  • 5 additional loadout slots!
  • New Weapon – Crossbow! Unlocked by using a Marksman Rifle with a Reflex Optic, get 5 kills in 25 different matches!

  • Temporarily removing Krovnik Farmland out of rotation while we work on a few bugs
  • Fix for a bug that could lock a PC player’s FOV at 60 until they respawn while in Ground War
  • The “Stand Together” calling card (3 Wins in Team Deathmatch) was being awarded even though this calling card is earned by default. This has been adjusted to the “Redemption” calling card.
  • The Daily Challenge for getting “10 Claymore Kills” was awarding the “One Shot” spray which is unlocked by default. This has been adjusted to the “Soft Serve” spray.
  • Fix for an issue where the playlist filter would not switch game modes, even with multiple modes selected
  • Adjusted the damage threshold for “Get X Kills while Injured” challenge to make it a bit easier to obtain

  • Players can no longer cancel their recovery state when sliding, but will always incur the standard fire delay (visually the player will still respond)
  • On Shipment, players are able to set Care Packages on spawn points, causing players to die instantly when spawning in on these points. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue where the Elite Xbox One controller had a slight bounce back with the analog sticks
  • Fixed a bug that could give players invincibility
  • Fix for some Officer Progression emblems not displaying the correct rarity
  • Fixed an issue that would lock Operator missions despite having the correct Battle Pass Tier

  • Fixed a bug where using the ‘Stopping Power Rounds’ Field Upgrade with an empty C4 slot would cause the C4 detonator to appear before reloading with the Stopping Power Rounds
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to reach unintended locations while manipulating the Weapon Drop Field Upgrade
  • Fixed a bug that allowed the Recon Drone to fly into geo if C4 was thrown onto it
  • Fix for Stopping Power Rounds not applying the correct damage boost to headshots

Call of Duty: Account

Since the worldwide launch of Call of Duty: Mobile you all have been asking for more and more ways to connect to the game. We have always shown we are dedicated to providing you those options.

First, we added a way to use Google Play and Apple’s Gamecenter as login options. With this Season 3 update, we are adding a way to link your Call of Duty Account! This option will be available to all players, those with pre-existing accounts and new players.

This will provide you with another way to save your player data and will provide us new opportunities in the future to link to the massive Call of Duty infrastructure. As a thanks to anyone who helps test this first iteration of this system, anyone who links now will receive the Outrider – Arctic skin as a reward.

Post image

You can see how to link up your account and do all of that in our new Activision Bloghttps://blog.activision.com/call-of-duty/2020-01/Link-Up-to-Earn-Rewards-in-Call-of-Duty-MobileSeason 3 Battle Pass

Alongside everything else coming this season, we also have a brand-new Battle Pass! You’ll be able to acquire Phantom and FTL from Infinite Warfare alongside a variety of similarly futuristic weapons, like the Chicom – Irradiated Amethyst or the Type 25 – Geometry.

This time around, the length is shortened down to 50 tiers, instead of 100, but with the same amount of gear and loot to earn across that timeframe. To reflect that the premium price is lowered compared to the others Same high-value content, both free and premium, in a brand-new Battle Pass launching on January 20th (January 19th PST).

Multiplayer

There are new scorestreaks and operator skills coming out this season, but as we mentioned in the last community update, this season we have two new multiplayer maps for everyone and one new limited time mode. Let’s take a quick look at both of those.

Scrapyard
This classic recreation of the Modern Warfare 2 map will be available to all players today on release. You will be able to traverse and fight your way across this medium-size map on most Multiplayer modes and through both indoor and outdoor environments.

Post image

Cage
This brand-new map will be coming to COD: Mobile later on in the season. This map has a deceptively basic three-lane design with verticality, open lanes for sniping, and a mixture of close quarters & mid-range options. As we get closer to this releasing in-game we’ll share more shots of this map in future updates.

Post image

Rapid Fire Mode
This brand new fast paced limited time mode will be available for everyone to try on release! There is plenty to love with unlimited ammo, faster scorestreaks, and shorter operator skill cooldowns. Like all new modes, we will be on the look-out for any and all feedback to help us shape the future of the mode.Battle Royale

While there are some general map updates for Battle Royale, a new class skill, and a few changes mentioned in the update notes, the main attraction is our new 20vs20 mode called Warfare! This will be available today on release and here is some of the basic info:

  • · Multiplayer style fast paced action but in Battle Royale
  • · Two teams draw battle lines and drop on their respective sides of the map
  • · Infinite respawns
  • · Loadout saved upon death
  • · First team to 150 kills win the match
Post image

Ranked Mode
With Season 3 we also have a brand-new season of Ranked Mode coming your way! This time around we have a new Ranked Mode tile on the main page that will allow you to check your ranked status in both Multiplayer and Battle Royale. You can see your rewards, your rank in each mode, and all of the information you might require on your road to Legendary.

Activision and Infinity Ward have announced that they will be supporting the relief effort in Australia by donating 100% of Activision’s proceeds of the in-game Outback Relief Pack to Australia.

Australia has been devastated recently by brushfires consuming a lot of the land in the country.

The Outback Relief Pack is available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s store and features Australia themed content in game.

This offer runs until January 31 and is available on all platforms. If you already purchased the pack before they re-named it, the profits will still be donated towards relief efforts in Australia.

The news was announced in an image by Infinity Ward on January 11.

Here’s the details:

As part of our efforts to help provide relief toward the devastating bushfires in Australia, we’re donating 100% of Activision’s net proceeds from each purchase of the “Outback” Pack, which we’ve renamed to the Outback Relief Pack, across all platforms through January 31st. If you’ve already purchased the Outback Pack, thank you, your purchase will count toward donation.

The Outback Relief Pack is available in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in-game store and can be purchased with Call of Duty Points.

Call of Duty League announces Pro Tournament structure is returning for 2020 season

Activision Blizzard has announced today that, as they listen to the fan feedback, they have made changes to the structure of the 2020 Call of Duty League season to include Pro Tournaments into the home series events to have more matches, “more drama,” and more play throughout the year.

Here’s the announcement from the company:

We at Call of Duty League are incredibly excited to announce the addition of tournament-based play as part of the inaugural 2020 season. Beginning Week 2 in London, teams will compete in a format that is both familiar to the legacy of Call of Duty esports and fresh amidst the backdrop of our city-based franchise structure. This format, coupled with a brand new points system that goes into effect on Launch Weekend, will deliver a competitive experience where every match of the season matters. The result: fans will get to see more matches, more drama, and more teams competing each home series weekend.

We love listening to our community, and finding unique ways to deliver on our vision of igniting a shift in sports entertainment. Our competitive format is one of the many highlights we are thrilled to introduce in 2020, including improved watchability, pop- culture infusions, and fan-first experiences at the pro and amateur levels.

Here’s to launching something special together, starting in Minneapolis on January 24th, 2020.

Every Call of Duty League team has shared a positive reaction to this news on social media following the company’s announcement. The new change will go into effect starting with Week 2 of the League, which is hosted by London.

Exactly one month from opening weekend of the 2020 Call of Duty League season, league officials are announcing sweeping changes to the regular season schedule and team scoring for the esports league’s inaugural season. Each of the 12 global teams selected for the Call of Duty League will now host a signature weekend home series that features tournament-style scoring, with more visiting teams in attendance at each event and more live matches played in front of arena audiences. The move distances the Call of Duty League format from other professional esports leagues that focus on home and away travel for participating teams.

The Call of Duty League launches on January 24 with the Call of Duty League Launch Weekend in Minneapolis.
